Everything works just fine. I connected two converters with crosslacing and stuck them in different computers, the data goes normally. We need two more, i'll order later here. The ftdi chip stands on the conversion from usb to rs232, and then on the rs485. So theoretically, you can pull out the jumper and get the converter only from usb to rs232.
