Featuring in the TL284x and TL384x series, the TL3842D-8 is a versatile control integrated circuit catering to off-line or DC-to-DC fixed-frequency current-mode control designs. Equipped with an array of internal circuits such as undervoltage lockout (UVLO) with a meager start-up current, a finely trimmed precision reference at the error amplifier input, and logic for ensuring latched operation, this IC offers a comprehensive solution with minimal external component requirements. The presence of a pulse-width modulation (PWM) comparator for current-limit control, along with a totem-pole output stage designed for high-peak current needs, makes it a reliable choice for driving N-channel MOSFETs while maintaining a low off-state level
