The M48T02-70PC1 is a non-volatile, 16K bit, timekeeper SRAM in a 24-pin DIP package. It features a built-in lithium energy source that maintains the time and date information even when the device is not powered. The device has a clock/calendar function with a programmable alarm and a 24-hour format. It has a supply voltage of 4.5V to 5.5V and a typical standby current of 150μA.The M48T02-70PC1 has a total of 16,384 bits organized as 2048 x 8 RAM. It also has a power-fail control circuit that automatically switches the device to a battery backup power supply if the primary power source is lost. The data retention time is typically greater than 10 years.Additional features of the M48T02-70PC1 include a software-controlled access to the clock/calendar data and the ability to interface with a microcontroller or a digital signal processor.
