With its integrated 100-V N-channel buck switch and wide input voltage range of 9 V to 95 V, the LM5008MMX/NOPB is a versatile step-down switching converter suitable for a range of applications. This high-voltage converter is easy to implement and is available in 8-pin VSSOP and thermally enhanced 8-pin WSON packages, offering designers flexibility in their designs. The converter utilizes a hysteretic control scheme with PWM on-time inversely proportional to V_IN, which helps maintain a relatively constant operating frequency, eliminating the need for loop compensation. Additionally, the intelligent current limit with forced off-time, inversely proportional to V_OUT, provides short-circuit protection and minimum foldback. Other protection features include thermal shutdown, V_CC undervoltage lockout, gate drive undervoltage lockout, and maximum duty cycle limiter. These features make the LM5008MMX/NOPB a reliable and efficient solution for power management needs
